A 26 year veteran of the stage, Troy has developed a style of playing that is truly all his own. Like his chosen icon, the Dragon, his playing is powerful and ferocious-yet at times melodic-like the magical side of a Dragon.

The Colorado native has spent most of his life in Nebraska where, at the age of ten, he picked up his first guitar. Predominantly self-taught, the rhythm guitar was Troy's forte until he began playing bass guitar in 1988. For the next two years, he honed his skills jamming with friends. In 1990, Troy took to the stage in a local cover band. A few short years later, he gained touring experience performing six nights per week throughout the Midwest. "The Dragon" is no stranger to the big stage, sharing the stage with national acts such as Skid row, Bret Michaels, Firehouse, Cinderella, Loverboy, and L.A. Guns to name a few. With a comprehensive appreciation for all things musical, Troy has developed his explosive playing style and energetic stage presence to a level of professionalism that makes him a true entertainer in today's music scene.

Troy garnered studio experience by laying bass tracks on demos for several bands, as well as in a commercial for the State of Nebraska. In 2004, Troy recorded all of the bass tracks on Paisty Jenny's debut disc entitled Detours.  In 2006, Troy recorded the bonus tracks and video for Paisty Jenny's Detours Red CD before leaving the band later that year.

After leaving Paisty Jenny, "The Dragon" joined the rock band The Noize. 2009 brought more changes. After leaving The Noize in the fall, Troy joined the band Party Central for a few months and then joined the band Decker. The next year also brought a new experience for "The Dragon"-he accepted an invitation to join the Planning Committee for the Matt Bahr Tribute Show. This is an annual charitable event whose proceeds benefit pediatric burn victims in Nebraska. Since then he was invited to start performing with Hookt, which he gladly excepted. Leaving decker in 2011. After leaving Hookt in 2012 the Dragon took some time off and worked as a fill in bassist until spring of 2013 when he joined the rock band Boneyard. With the demise of boneyard in 2015 has left the Dragon eagerly looking for the next rock project. The Dragon has been proving his flexability as a professional bassist by crossing the genre lines joining a Blues band called The Slyder James Band. The dragon has also drifted into Country music filling-in with local acts.

Whether performing live or concentrating on meticulous studio work, this well-rounded bassist has acquired the experience and the tools to be a professional bassist that can easily compete in today's music market. Troy is definitely a must-see bassist that pushes himself and his basses to the limit night after night. Troy shows his gratitude, respect, and support for the American Troops by flying two American flags on his stacks of speakers that are signed by the past, present, and future heroes fighting for this great country.

When Troy's not out on the road rocking stages with his brand of low-end thunder, he lives in Lincoln, Nebraska with his wife and children (his number 1 fans & supporters).
